Dróttkvæði was a form of poetry performed at courts of kings and other chieftains in medieval times. Drótt meaning court. It got to be quite complicated and one had to be a truly gifted poet to be able to perform up to standards. No book with a collection of this dróttkvæði has been available for some time and this book is a welcome overview indeed.
