The first novel by Sunna Dís Másdóttir but she has also written the book of poetry Plómur and she is a part of the writers group Svikaskáld that have collectively written novels and poetry as well. Here the main character is Una who goes to a treatment center in a remote part of Iceland. There the leader of the treatment encourages the patients to face the darkness within them and come to terms with it just like you would the Icelandic winter darkness.
